On-Site Fluid Services

At FA-ST we offer a range of on-site services to allow you to implement a successful fluid management program.  Our team can help assist in accurately sampling fluids, provide in depth reports into the conditions of the fluids circulating in your system, and with our filtration equipment can remove both particulates and water contamination from fluids. Our on-site services will allow you to:

  • Extend fluid life – identifying and removing contaminates from fluids can increase the time a fluid is usable within the system.

  • Reduce replenishment and disposal costs – by increasing the usable life span of your fluids will lead to greater oil and fluid can intervals reducing costs and negative environmental impacts.

  • Reduce negative environmental impact – with the greater awareness of how our working practices can impact on the environment factors like reducing the levels of oils purchased and disposed of during a work year will not only reduce costs but also provide a positive environmental impact.

Engineering on-site

Fluid samples can be taken from live or dormant applications. These samples are then taken to our laboratory for detailed analysis. From the results of this analysis, recommendations can be made for e.g. if system cleaning is required, or change of filtration media is needed. It may just be the case that extra kidney style filtration is required for a short period of time. For ease of future oil testing, Checkfluid Oil sampling points can also be installed on your systems. Maintenance and Service Contracts can also be individually tailored to your company needs, reducing the stresses upon your maintenance team.

An accurate and representative fluid sample is the corner stone to any fluid monitoring & conditioning programme. An accurate sample should truly reflect the conditions within the system, failure to capture a representative sample can lead to works being carried out that aren't required or issues within a system not being correctly identified. Our team of well-trained engineers can ensure that fluid samples are taken from live zones giving a true reflection on the system. Using our on-site sampling services ensures common issues from poor sampling technique are not encountered, this allows for a true report of the conditions of the fluid analysed. Need us to come to you?

We can discuss, assess and resolve your on-site oil and diesel contamination issues. Providing you on-site fluid filtration solutions.

Our comprehensive on-site filtration service is offered to all businesses large and small that use oil and diesel fuel. From initial sampling to issuing a final report, we can ensure that any oils used in equipment or machinery is clear from contaminates providing you fluids fit for purpose.

We will initially visit the site and evaluate the scenario, recommend sampling of the fluids from the correct active zones, We will then advise on any remedial work that is required. We are always pleased to quote for your requirements.

We have an extensive range of products allowing users to quickly extract samples without drawing in external contamination.

Sampling Valves are a fantastic way to provide consistancy in sampling. Always taking samples from the same place will allow detailed trendlines to be built.

FA-ST have had many years carryingout a large variaty of samples, to help you ensure you sampling procedures then use our guide to fluid sampling.

Further FA-ST Filtration

If your machinery has suffered a component failure - such as a ram break up, valve block failure or water ingress - this will lead to particulates being deposited in the oil, our filtration rigs will filter vastly reduce the contamination in the oil, ensuring your assets return to good efficient running levels.

This on-site services could include:

Installing a filter unit to your equipment

Use of a filter unit, with instructions given to onsite engineers

Hydraulic hoses and steel pipe assembly removal

Installation of frontline preventative maintenance items, for e.g. a desiccant breather

What Our Filtration Service Can Provide You:

  • Purpose built kidney filtration systems.

  • Large fuel and oil filtration volumes catered for.

  • Storage, holding and day tank filtration.

  • Transfer pumps for systems

  • Increased fluid life spans

  • Reduce contamination levels.

  • Reduce wear debris circulating systems.

  • Reduce disposal & replenishment costings

Many incorrectly protected storage tanks accumulate dirt particles, rust, bacterial growth and water over periods of time. Eventually the levels reach a point where the contaminated fluid starts to enter the supply line which leads to filter blockages, poor running efficiencies ultimately leading to downtime. We can remove this contamination.

This service is of particular interest to all sites that utilise bulk fuel storage tanks - such as hospitals, hauliers, quarries, office blocks, data centres and any other sites that rely on standby generator support during mains power electrical maintenance and power failures.
