FA-ST Ltd is the UK appointed distributor for the Checkfluid range of sampling valves.

Checkfluid sample valves makes it easier for companies to get consistent, contamination free oil samples. This is achieved by simply fitting a sample valve to a pressure line or on a tank that is below the liquor line. Checkfluid established in 2001 to manufacture innovative oil sampling valves. They became ISO 2001 accredited in 2009. As an industry innovator, Checkfluid's line of valves includes: the high flow, high viscosity sampling valve, the L series; and the patented pushbutton sampling valve for high pressure environments.

The 3 C's and the importance of oil sampling

Sampling of oils, diesel fuel and other fluids requires the 3 C's, Carefully, Cleanly and Consistently with the emphasis in being able to take an oil sample safely, free from external contamination and always from the same location. As a customer, you want lubricated equipment to run longer and smoother, with less and less maintenance. Like a blood test, sampling equipment fluid regularly provides amazing insights into the condition of both the equipment and the fluid. We believe, like any good practitioner, the team that finds and fixes problems before operations even arise, should be highly valued. Those reliability and maintenance teams, using oil analysis, quietly deliver safety, sustainability, and direct to bottom-line profitability, the key to the organisation. We want to be part of those teams.

One extremely important part of efficient machinery operation is care of the lubrication fluid it uses. Not only is it important to have adequate and efficient filtration to keep it clean, but the lubrication also itself is often carry indicators of potential problems therefore correct clean sampling is paramount for analysis. Among the many industries served, we include transportation-HGV, buses, marine, rail, automotive, space; production equipment - gearboxes, hydraulics, compressors, filtration; energy and renewables, food, beverage, construction, packaging, pharmaceutical; forest, oil and gas, mining resources, municipal water and many more industries.

Regular, accurate testing of the lubricant is a vital component of a good maintenance programme as it will often provide an early indicator of wear problems.

Benefits of Checkfluid Oil Sampling

Checkfluid products cover a wide range of specialised valves to facilitate easy sample extraction from running equipment so that testing can be easily undertaken. It is critical that the samples taken are not subjected to external contamination and that the extraction process has not exposed the machine to moisture or contamination. It is important that consistent repeatable oil samples are taken to provide meaningful lab report data; the Checkfluid systems allow for that 100% of the time.

Other advantages and options include:

  • Representative, contamination-free sampling with various options and accessories

  • Stainless Steel options for hygienic solutions & corrosive environments

  • Easy-to-install for manual operation in a single sampling valve

  • Versatile sampling methods and supplied in a large range of thread options
